My fitness journey began in a place where most people start – at the bottom. I started where many people start their journeys to better health, at beginning, after being sick and tired of being sick and tired.
I woke one morning in my mid-thirties, extremely busy with countless obligations and commitments, which all seemed to be for other people and honestly, it was making me unhappy. I was also carrying a bit of extra weight on me, nothing I couldn’t hide under my clothes, but personally not feeling happy with myself. I needed to do something! But what?
Gym? Let’s face it, when you run a retail business and have 3 busy kids, that’s not going to happen.
Diet? – I’ve never stuck to any diet and was never effective at losing those lbs.
However, at just the right time I saw an invite to a 21-day challenge group and without thinking about it, for fear I’d just come up with excuses not to participate, I accepted! It seemed a bit pricy, but I knew that I’d take it more seriously with skin in the game. I knew that I needed to see results fast to prevent me from feeling like I was wasting money.
So, I committed to working out at home with a 21-day fitness program, drank a meal replacement shake and kept track on the nutrition and portions for balance. I dropped 7 lbs in that first 21 days, but more importantly, I saw a renewed energy in myself, a new purpose.
I learned so much and the accountability was fun, the workouts were 30 minutes long and I saw myself getting stronger. Needless to say, I never quit! I had experienced such amazing results for myself, I became motivated to help other people feel their best.
My passion is to show people that fitness and great nutrition can fit into their normal everyday lifestyle and that it can be sustained for the long haul. This year I’m turning 40, I’m on track to be in my best fit shape, training to cross the finish line of my first half-marathon. I have an amazing team with so many resources at our disposal for nutrition and fitness. So many of my amazing clients have been able to reach their goals and sustain it as a lifestyle. I would love to help you reach yours!
